Sequence / Fragment is a group exhibition featuring new works by Julie Béna, Boris Camaca, Ana Viktoria Dzinic, Tyler Eash and Nana Wolke. Exhibited in the second room of our gallery space, the artworks analyse contemporary modes of representation in painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. Through multiple techniques involving the sequencing, layering, saturating and/or fragmenting of images, the artworks question traditions of portraiture, which is here envisioned as an assemblage of fact, memory and fiction. In so doing, the artists invite us to reflect upon the relationship between perception, figuration and identity production.
